Mated pair of Pileated Woodpeckers

Mated pair of Pileated Woodpeckers

This pair has been dropping by fairly regularly. Every so often they will bring the next generation to visit. You do not sleep in if you forgot to refill the feeders. Latest generation male is now a regular. 3x a day. Starting to get expensive.. The male came into the kitchen one day, and could not figure out the exit. He was really pissed at me when I caught him to remove him. Did not return for a couple of months and would not talk to me for a couple more. I am now forgiven the indignity I imposed on him, and he will tolerate me within 15 feet.
